So I just right click the volume control in the taskbar, select playback devices, and then it will show you a list of devices, Clicked on "Speakers - Realtek High Definition Audio" and then clicked the "Set Default" button and then it started working for me. Any advantage to using the desktop software vs the Steam link hardware? if you can't find the hardware link (long out of production) you can load this on a windows 10 based htpc, or on an older laptop that can't run the game but can handle the streaming. I think a better question is, any point in using this standalone app instead of regular Steam?
It's now possible to stream a user's Steam library through GeForce Now while using the Microsoft Edge browser of Xbox Series X/S. The trick should also available for standard Xbox One users as well.
Follow these instructions: install Rabian on the SD card. insert the SD card and boot up the raspberry pi. go to terminal and type. apt-get install steamlink. y. apt-get install update. You should be able to stream it to your raspberry pi now and play with a keyboard and mouse or controller which ever you want to.
Hi all. Just recently picked up an Nvidia Shield TV Pro to replace the aging Steam Link hardware. Just wondering a few things and hoped I could get some answers. 1) Using the DualShock 4, the Steam Link app doesn't let me configure the coloured light anymore. The option is there, but nothing changes 2) The "focus" button (the PS button on the DS4) only sends the interface back to the main
A wired connection means that it should be wired from Link --> Router --> PC all the way. #1. Bad Whippet 11. Juni 2015 um 3:02. Dang! Well, thanks for confirming this. Something to remove from my wishlist then. I already have a 50ft HDMI cable so I can use that.

Hi, i just tested the Steam Big Picture Mode with my PC and streamed it on my Bravia KDL-55x 4K TV using the moonlight app out of the Android Playstore. I tested it with some games and i was impressed. The problem, since my mainboard doenst have bluetooth i need a wireless connection for my controllers. Long story short i just bought the steam link since it supports my Controllers (Xbox One
Yes, you can turn on Bluetooth pairing of your steam controller (hold y while powering on) and connect it directly to the Fire TV. Experience is pretty much identical compared to running on steam link hardware once you're connected to your host. Same controller profile settings etc.. nm figured it out.
Over wifi it's kind of dodgy. I will also point out that if the reason you can't sit at your computer is that your kids are using it, a Steam Link won't solve that problem. Steam Link works by streaming all the inputs and outputs across the network, but those outputs are also still happening on the host computer.
In a post earlier this month, Valve announced the Steam Link app will “no longer be available on Samsung TV after November 30th, 2023.”. The service lets users wirelessly stream PC games from

2. Install Steam Link. The Raspberry Pi will boot to the desktop, and from there we need to open a terminal. There is an icon in the top left of the screen, so click that to open the terminal.
