2006 1.9L TDI complete engine for sale. I have a good running 1.9 liter TDI engine pulled from my 2006 Jetta with 78000K. My wife ran over something in the road and put a small crack in one of the engine block mounting positions. The insurance company replaced the entire engine and i was able to keep the original engine. The crack can be welded.
When this problem became all too apparent, VW and Associates were likely in the middle of developing the new TDI engine, this used the same block and crank as the 1.9 TD, but different heads and pistons. The engineers looked at this marginal integrated key, and the quarter moon spline on the crank nose and decided to move on to a new sprocket
I think it's to do with the 1 bar atmospheric, you need to add that in the mix so the sensor needs to be capable. Safe max is about 21.5psi for the VA which is about 1.5bar so add the atmospheric and you're at the 2.5 but the 2.5 can actually read higher than 2.5 so it works. Volkswagen 1.4 TDI. VW’s most popular small diesel engine, the 1.9 TDI, has three cylinders and is fitted to a smaller model older than the Volkswagen Group. This engine is also installed on the Audi A2, Škoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza. The advantage is very low operating costs, but also has one serious technical drawback. Dec 5, 2000 Location Finland TDI Golf IV Variant powerdiesel Mar 27, 2001 #1 VW has done an excellent job confusing me on this matter. I have understood that the 90hp and 110hp versions have different bore/stroke/piston etc. and the 115pd is of course again different. But there seems to be even more versions. From a VW engine tuning site: "The 1.9 TDi was used in a wide variety of cars from the VAG group and came in different power levels. All had BOSCH injectors, and Bosch ECU's which are really sturdy and very protective of the engine.

Have a 1.9 TDI Passat with the same issue and turned out to be the thermostat. I will point out that the ECUs in 1.9 TDI's have temperature dependent SOI (Start of Injection) maps. This is in order to protect the engine whe
The BEW valves are .5mm shorter for both Exhaust and Intake, compared to virtually all other PD cylinder heads, where valves project. The seats on the BEW appear to simply be cut deeper, recessing about .5mm. All others I am aware of, there are valve pockets in the pistons and valves project.
The engine range of the Passat Alltrack consists of two 2.0 litre TDI with outputs of 103 kW/140 hp & 125 kW/170 hp and two petrol engines, 1.8-litre producing 118 kW/160 hp and 2.0 litre TSI producing 155 kW/207 hp.
One of the most common issues are related to the TDI 2.5 engine. Considering that I almost nothing about engines, my general understanding is that a TDI 2.0 is the most reliable one, followed by 1.9 and finally 2.5. However, I'm very confused by the whole matter, and I would like to know what you think on the topic. I have a 1.9 which is the 102 engine and I can get from scotland to cornwall [550miles] on a full tank - well, until the light comes on which means I have ten litres left. That is with me driving at a solid 80-85mph on motorway. I think that works out about 33ish mpg. If you take it easy then it goes a lot further! Hope that helps. Engine Type: 1.9 TDI P/D 131 Hp. The life expectancy of a new car can be estimated, but there is no way to tell with a used model. Your '98 Jetta could last 100 miles, 100k miles, or even longer -- and no one here can narrow it down for you. But if you want it to last longer, then you need to get all the deferred maintenance up to date.
The water pump is a weak point and is often changed with the timing belt to avoid problems. If the water pump seizes it can strip teeth off the timing belt. If the teeth strip the camshaft will get out of synchronisation with the crankshaft and the pistons and valves will meet!! However. The engine is designed with a deliberately weak rocker
The dealer can certainly verify this, and it's all over TDI forums. A lot of people think that weight is the only number to care about on oil, but TDI's are a little more particular - if you want the "right" oil and the best engine protection. But to answer "how do I know" - I have a 2.0 TDI and have researched it. – Its been alright for a while then this morning it was sluggish. 12.4v across the battery but that dropped to 5v when cranking. Jump leads on and it cranked up and started. Got 70A Numax brand battery at the local factors and the engine is cranking like a good un'. 2003 Bora 1.9 TDI-PD, ATD.
